Urgent message from Eileen Durkin, President and CEO
The State of Illinois is preparing to decimate human services including those to people with developmental disabilities and mental illness. Unless the legislature acts quickly, many services to people at Neumann Association and organizations like ours will be eliminated starting July 1, 2009. It’s hard to believe that even with the worst recession that we’ve seen in sixty years, the State of Illinois will eliminate programs to the most fragile and needy.
What can we do about this? Let your legislators and the Governor know that you do not want these services cut.
